History

I created The Evenstar Network so that people could find links to all of my websites, as I used to have quite a few! So far, it seems to be working alright, except for when my computer crashed and I lost all my files in August of 2006. So I had to rebuild, and updated for the second time with a new layout and a new name, Seastar. The site was moved from Freewebs to the sailorlyra subdomain I had with Byethost in November of 2008 and it was given a new layout.

What About the Name?

The name used to be "The Evenstar Network" due to the name of two of my websites, and it was also my favorite word. But eventually, I realized I needed a new name. So I took one of my favorite things ever, the sea, and blended it with star to make "Seastar"--it's a cross between the old and the new! The old name explains the Freewebs URL though.

This Layout

The layout that is currently gracing your layout is version 3. I'm calling it "Reflect". It features a photo of a lily reflected by the water. I've wanted to design a layout like this for a long time now, with the separated sections, and so I was really happy to be able to figure it out. I love this design, so it'll probably stick around for a long time!
